Miniature art show

Join Melinda Fabian and many other miniature artists at Snow Goose Gallery in Bethlehem, PA on May 3rd, from 1 - 5pm. Experience eight exquisite miniature paper sculptures, each a delicate, fully three-dimensional world, crafted from hand-cut paper and paint by Melinda Fabian. These tiny works are intimate, highly detailed, and reveal new discoveries with every close look — ideal for the Miniature Art Show.

Highlights from Melinda Fabian’s presentation:

  • Unimpressed — A fluffy, thinly cut paper cat perches atop a stack of diet books, captured under a glass dome. Measuring only 4" high x 3" wide, this piece pairs meticulous papercraft with a wry, whimsical spirit.

  • Where the Magic Still Lives — A fully realized castle scene on a mossy hillside. Paper birds and flowers populate the slopes, and a tiny frog rests near the base. A stone-walled path guides the eye up toward three castles; the entire landscape is sculpted and painted by hand.

  • The Long View — A long-necked paper giraffe rendered with elegant line and proportion, conveying both grace and gentle humor within a miniature scale.

  • A Moment Suspended — A floral vignette visited by a tiny, animated hummingbird, rendered with layers of hand cut paper feathers painted to suggest light and motion.

  • Kaleidoscope Garden — A colorful fuchsia flower scene encircled by delicate monarch butterflies, each wing and petal cut and painted to create a fluttering sense of movement.

  • Autumn Hidden Treasures — An autumn leaves tableau with a small lizard searching among curled, painted leaves, acorns, and sweet gum for seasonal secrets, rich in texture and color.

  • Golden Wings in a Sea of Violet - Monarch butterflies encircle the violet colored flowers creating beauty and motion.

  • Strolling Through Vibrant Colors - A rooster is walking along on top of a fence in the morning as the sun is just beginning to rise in this colorful three-dimensional scene.

Each work demonstrates Melinda’s mastery of combining sculpted paper elements with watercolor and gouache to build depth, shadow, and narrative in remarkably small formats. Whether you’re drawn to playful humor, quiet storytelling, or technical virtuosity, these eight miniatures reward close, contemplative viewing.
